THE FOUNDER The Stacy Hope Risk Project, was founded by Dr Stacy A A Hope in conjunction with the World Bank Risk Management for Development Team. After working in areas constantly afflicted by natural disasters, Dr Hope became privvy to the fact that most risks in developing countries could be mitigated or prepared for through simple knowledge sharing. Although, in many regions knowledge sharing was occurring, this was done mainly between organisations and senior leaders in communities, and not with the majority of community members, particularly the most vulnerable. Hence, The Stacy Hope Risk Project aims to remedy the disconnect within the knowledge sharing chain, by providing responsible consultations and workshops, where diversity and inclusivity is a key aspect of the project's ethos.
THE MANAGEMENT TEAM The project is run by development specialists, economists, scientists, entrepreneurs, innovators, community members and volunteers. At the helm of it are the Chair & Founder, Dr Hope, the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Patrick Langley, and the Prinicipal Strategy Officer, Ms. Alicia Chall.
We currently have 10 regional offices in Latin America, North America, The Caribbean, Europe, East Asia, South East Asia and Oceania, Middle East and North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa, with over 350 employees and volunteers, without whom this project would not be successful.
